In February 1926, the house of “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, a watch dealer and maker, registered the trademark “The TUDOR” established in Geneva for Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf. Later, in 1936, the house transferred the brand to Wilsdorf. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, specialising in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.
The Pelagos FXD model, where FXD refers to the extra robust fixed strap bars of the case, was developed in conjunction with the French Navy's combat swimmers. Waterproof to 200m (660 ft), it was designed for underwater navigation and is optimized for professional use. Also in the range is a model that pays tribute to the decades of TUDOR watches on the wrists of US Navy divers. Complete with fixed strap bars, a titanium case, a high-performance Manufacture Calibre and a unidirectional elapsed-time rotating bezel, it comes as the ultimate modern “Milsub” (short for Military Submariner) of yesteryear. Visually in line with a late ‘60s-era TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner; it incorporates elements from the US military specifications for diving watches. In short, the FXD range is the product of TUDOR’s cooperation with two military organisations
A magnificent example of a tool watch and symbol of adventure, the Pelagos is one of the most complete traditional mechanical divers’ watches available today. Waterproof to 500m (1,640 ft), it is available in both left- and right-handed versions. In addition to its original matt black version, this model is also available in matt blue, the emblematic color of the brand’s divers’ watches since the 1960s.
Royal is a name first used by TUDOR in the 1950s to emphasize the superior quality of its watches. The TUDOR Royal range is part of this heritage in that it offers automatic sport-chic watches with integrated bracelets that are as affordable as they are uncompromising. Cutting-edge technical performance and refined aesthetic are characteristic of this range, which sits at the crossroads between classic and sports watches and comes in stainless steel or stainless steel and gold and is offered in 4 sizes with a wide range of dials
The Clair de Rose line, reimagined in a classic, refined and timeless spirit, uses the brand’s historic aesthetic codes. The Clair de Rose collection is available exclusively in steel and in six configurations and three sizes, 26, 30 and 34mm in diameter, it presents opaline dials with delicate decorations in relief, punctuated with blue lacquered Roman numerals or diamonds.
The Black Bay 58 is named after the first-ever TUDOR dive watch waterproof to 200m, the reference 7924, released in 1958. Known as the “Big Crown” among collectors, the design of the Black Bay 58 makes aesthetic references to this historic model. This year, a METAS Master Chronometer-certified burgundy execution joins the Black Bay 58 family. This is the first time the model is available on a 5-link stainless steel bracelet
The Black Bay celebrates 70 years of diving watches with extraordinary heritage. The iconic model inherits the general lines, as well as the domed dial and crystal from the first TUDOR diving watches. It borrows the characteristic angular hands, known as Snowflake hands, from the watches delivered in large quantities to the French Navy in the 1970s. In 2024, the Black Bay line expanded as TUDOR welcomed a new METAS-certified model with a monochromatic aesthetic
The characteristic element of the Black Bay Bronze is an imposing bronze case, 43mm in diameter, which is an aesthetic reference to the use of bronze in historic ships and other diving equipment. The high-performance aluminum bronze alloy guarantees the development of a unique patina to match its user's habits.
To mark five decades of its chronographs, TUDOR offered its Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a reworked case and two dial options with contrasting sub-counters in the purest tradition of the sports chronograph. Now the model comes with the option of a 3-link or 5-link bracelet, both with “T-Fit” clasp.
Black Bay Pro features a dual time zone function, a technical complication that establishes local time without losing sight of the time in another time zone. Compact, robust and sporty, this model boasts many unique aesthetic details and celebrates the spirit of the technical watches that TUDOR has produced for professionals throughout its history. Recognisable by its 24-hour graduated satin-brushed fixed bezel and its yellow 24-hour "Snowflake" hand, Black Bay Pro is powered by the TUDOR Manufacture Calibre MT5652 with built-in GMT function. This year sees an opaline dial join the range
TUDOR pays tribute to its origins and watchmaking traditions with its 1926 line, a range of mechanical watches that are timeless, classic and elegant. Available in four sizes with a wide choice of dials, the 1926 line is named after the year when “The Tudor” was registered as a brand on behalf of Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf.
The Black Bay GMT is an extension of the Black Bay line with a highly functional complication: a multiple time-zone function – also known as a GMT function. Recognizable by its rotatable bezel, which derives its deep blue and burgundy color theme from other models in the Black Bay line, but in a matte version, the Black Bay GMT is also a nod to the early days of this watchmaking function.
The Black Bay One brings a more classic feel to the Black Bay models. Like other models in the Black Bay line, it features a dial inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches produced during the 1950s. The essence of this contemporary model lies in its ultimate simplicity.
The Ranger model was launched to mark the 70th anniversary of the British North Greenland Expedition. It is a tool watch celebrating the spirit of this daring adventure, complete with Manufacture Calibre MT5402, a 39mm case and a clasp with rapid adjustment system. The Ranger model respects the aesthetic standards established in the course of its history, especially its dial with Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, whilst incorporating new state-of-the-art technical elements. It continues, within the TUDOR collection, the tradition of the expedition watch.
The Black Bay 54 is the most true-to-form example of TUDOR’s first dive watch, the reference 7922. The 37mm case retains the classic proportions of yesteryear yet boasts the technical prowess of TUDOR’s time-only Manufacture Calibre MT5400 and a 200m depth rating.
TUDOR introduces an entirely new Black Bay model in 43mm, meeting the demand for various case sizes to fit all types of wrists. With two new colour configurations, the Black Bay 68 means business. The big deal isn’t just a brand new case size, but that the Black Bay 68 is Master Chronometer certified by METAS, too! 1968 marks the year TUDOR designed the now iconic “Snowflake” hands
